About:
Stuart Entwistle, Ergonomics Consultant, Advance DSE Assessor & Trainer.
At Align Ergonomics, I help organisations create healthier, more comfortable, and more productive working environments through practical ergonomics advice, Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments, and workplace training.
With over 25 years of experience in ergonomics, I have worked with organisations of all sizes, helping employees work more comfortably and reducing the risk of discomfort associated with poorly designed workstations and working practices. Throughout my career, I have conducted thousands of DSE assessments and supported businesses across a wide range of sectors, giving me a strong understanding of the challenges faced by both employers and employees.
A Practical Approach to Ergonomics
One thing I have learned over the years is that effective ergonomics doesn't need to be complicated.
Many workplace issues can be improved through practical adjustments, better workstation setup, and increased awareness of healthy working habits. My focus is always on finding sensible, evidence-based solutions that are proportionate to the situation and easy for organisations to implement.
Whether I'm carrying out an individual assessment, supporting a larger DSE programme, or delivering training, my aim is to provide clear advice that helps people work comfortably and confidently.

Qualifications and Professional Development
I believe that good ergonomics advice should be based on both experience and recognised professional standards.
I'm an associate member of the CIEHF (Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors), and some of my qualifications include:
- IOSH Qualified Advanced DSE Assessor
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Qualified Mental Health First Aider
These qualifications complement over two decades of practical experience and help me deliver advice and training that is both professional and relevant to today's workplaces.
Training and Workplace Support
Alongside assessments, I have extensive experience designing and delivering workplace ergonomics training for employees, managers, and DSE assessors. Training has been delivered both face-to-face and virtually, helping organisations develop the knowledge and confidence needed to manage workstation risks effectively.
My experience as a trainer allows me to explain ergonomics in a clear, accessible way, avoiding unnecessary jargon and focusing on practical actions that people can apply immediately.
Why Align Ergonomics?
Align Ergonomics was created to provide organisations with a straightforward, personal approach to workplace ergonomics.
As an independent consultant, I work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide support that is tailored to their organisation. There are no off-the-shelf solutions or unnecessary recommendations, just practical advice designed to improve comfort, wellbeing, and productivity.
Much of my work comes through referrals and long-standing professional relationships, something I see as a reflection of the trust clients place in the quality of the service I provide.
